Mount Sibilla

Leaving from the Sibilla refuge you go up towards the Zampa mountain, arrived at the saddle you go on the left towards the fairy cave. Legend has it that the cave owes its name to the fairy “Sibilla Appenninica“. This cavern was none other than the access point to the underground kingdom of Queen Sibyl. From here in a few minutes walk you reach the top of Mount Sibilla 2173 m.s.l.m., the peculiarity of this peak is represented by the conformation to “crown”. Continuing along the path, you reach the road that leads back to the starting point. All along the route you can admire breathtaking views, from Mount Priora to the valley of the lakes of Pilato, Mount Carrier and the entire Adriatic coast to Mount Conero.
