LA FATTORIA

When you stay at "La Fattoria" you should not miss to undertake two most famous excursions in our area.

              Sanctuary of the Madonna dell'Ambro
This is the oldest sanctuary dedicated to Saint Mary in Le Marche Region. It was born around the year 1000 in devotion to the Virgin Mary which performed (so the legend tells) a miracle by giving back to a young Shepard woman - once deaf and dumb - hearing and voice. This place of pilgrimage is situated 800 meters above sea level, inside a gorge with the torrent named Ambro flowing by. More than a hundred years the Cappuccini monks are taking care of the sanctuary whose church is famous for its choir that can be admired during the Holy Mass on Sundays, and on special occasions.

OFFERS

Apart from these proposed excursions, you can experience more demanding walks and climbs, or by car, for instance to the Lago di Pilato (Lake of Pilate), or to the Grotta della Sibilla (Grotto of Sibilla).

Gola dell'Infernaccio (Gorge of Hell) and San Leonardo of the Sibillini Mountains
The Infernaccio is a complex of gorges that can be crossed by foot, and it is a true sight of rocks and waterfalls, unique in its kind. Once the gorge, is crossed, the visitor reaches on a comfortable path in mild ascension the hermitage of Saint Leonard/San Leonardo. It is inhabited by a monk who decided to fulfill his mission in reconstructing the old church of San Leonardo, cross-road of merchants and pilgrims.
